On The Artistic Characteristics And Inheritance And Development Of Mao Cavity

Mao Qiang is a kind of local opera which is widespread in Qingdao, Jiaoxian, Gaomi, Zhucheng, Anqiu, Wulian, and Juxian in Shangdong Province. Its name is originated from a kind of singing called"damao"which means Dan sings high over the next eight end rhymes. In 2006, Mao Qiang was ranked among the first batch of intangible cultural heritage, showing its artistic and heritage value. However, under the pressure of the diversity of the social recreational culture, the development of Mao Qiang has been quite gloomy, with its future worrisome. Under this circumstance, this thesis aims to further study the artistic features of Mao Qiang and its developing tendency and future so as to make contributions to its transmission and development.Based on the achievements of others'research, this thesis makes a profound and detailed analysis of the artistic features of Mao Qiang in the aspects of tune generic, vocal music, as well as language, repertoire, performance, etc. by means of referring to documents, collecting field materials, analyzing and researching the arias contrastively. In terms of tune and origin, Mao Qiang is inherently featured by its local and folk color, which determines its simple, plain style and rustic flavor. And this is the fundamental attribute of Mao Qiang as a local opera. Meanwhile, Mao Qiang is relatively open, inclusive and increasingly blossoming, thus ensuring its continuous development and improvement. In the long-term artistic practice, Mao Qiang has gradually shaped its stylistic system and singing style, forming simple, plain, mildly melodious style. Female tune is especially prominent in Mao Qiang, having the advantage of expressing sorrow with strong emotions. The rustic flavor of Mao Qiang is strengthened by series of singing methods, such as using dialects and real voices, combing talking and singing and so on. The lyrics of Mao Qiang are expressive and various, directly displaying the attitudes of people. The contents are close to real life, reflecting the feelings of the laboring people, and the performance is flexible and plain. These features make Mao Qiang warmly received by the audience.Through the above analysis , this thesis summarizes the developing value and meaning of MaoQiang as following :MaoQiang is heavily loaded with historical culture and important local cultural heritage .MaoQiang has its unique artistic style with great artistic and academic research value .MaoQiang is a significant part of cultural construction in local area playing an irreplaceable role in enriching people's spiritual and cultural life .MaoQiang has a positive enlightening effect ,with practical value ,in accelerating the all-round and sound development of rural society .In view of the present problems confronted by MaoQiang and the analysis of the artistic feature of MaoQiang above ,the author proposes following advice for the development of MaoQiang .In aspect of orientation ,we should try our best to make it close to the folk and maintain its liveliness .In aspect of MaoQiang itself ,we should strive to train ranks of high-quality performance . As to external environment, we should highlight the learning role of the government to effectively guide and support the development of Mao Qiang .To sum up ,through making profound and systematic study of MaoQiang ,which is rarely seen in present research result ,this thesis obtains sort of creating .Furthermore, this study undoubtedly has certain practical significance for further development of MaoQiang so as to rejuvenate this precious cultural heritage .
