Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin (1872-1915) was a famous Russian composer and pianist. He was a unique and mysterious person in the history of European music. Whenever he was mentioned, people can remember the mysterious chord and color-light music which is on the basis of mysticism philosophy and idealism thoughts. As a matter of fact, Scriabin was also a successor of romanticism, his adoration to romanticism composer and inherit of romanticism style can be found from his earlier works.Op.11 is written by Scriabin by using the 19th Century Romanticism habitual technique and also by setting the Op.28 twenty-four preludes of Chopin as example. This work has the independent genre and terse subject, the form structure of this work is terse while the harmony of it is colorful. What sound effects this work shows can lay out the unique music style of Scriabin.The thesis analyzes the twenty-four preludes macroscopically and microcosmically, and discusses the works by using the contrastive study.The first part is a brief introduction of Op.11 piano prelude by Scriabin, it also includes the main introduction of Sciabin, his works, and as well as the introduction of definitions and development of prelude. This can present the background of Op.11 piano prelude.The second part is the macroscopical analysis of the twenty-four pieces of preludes. The work has systematic tonality layout, miniaturized form structure, and improvisational characteristic.The last part is the main part of the thesis. It's about the analysis of technique of harmony of the work. It mainly discusses the technique of harmony of twenty-four preludes. It includes the analysis of chord form, terminal chord, half-step chord, sustained note and modulation method. This part focuses on studying and analyzing in order to drew a comprehensive conclusion and understanding of this work.The thesis takes the technique of harmony of preludes as the paramount point. All of analyses are concluded in the end. The thesis can prove that the work's station and research value in the music history development, and also its influence on the late creations by Sciabin.
