Giuseppe Castiglione in the early Qing Dynasty in China are foreign missionaries, but also in the Qing Court of Queen's longest-serving artist. Painting him well in Europe on oil absorption of the basic techniques of Chinese painting, forming a unique "combination of Chinese and Western" style, this compatibility highly appreciated by the royal family, left in the draw history of far-reaching implications. Giuseppe Castiglione of Chinese and Western style embodies a particular artistic style and aesthetic tendencies, to a certain extent also reflected the rule of the Qing Dynasty Painting Class treatment acceptable to the European attitude. He witnessed the practice of art culture and the arts in the East-West exchange of exclusion and absorption, assimilation and transformation process, worthy of our attention and study.
