Electronic Music In The Cavity And Its Characteristics,

The notable Chinese musicologist Shen Qia published an academic theses On Tune Trope in 1982, and proposed some ideas related to the Chinese traditional music, such as'tune trope', its structure, its main characteristics and its individual music configuration. Based on those theories and with the similar research method to the Chinese traditional music in On Tune Trope, the writer analyzed deeply the'tune mode'in electronic music with a large number of Western electronic musical realities, which related to various features such as its structure of tune mode, acoustic shape, sounding materials both selected and organized for timbre and styles. The paper also discussed distinction between the tune mode in electronic music and tune trope in Chinese traditional music as well as their interrelated elements. Furthermore, the treatise explored the function of thematic tune mode in electronic music that affected the whole form structure as well.
