Being a representative of Post Impressionism,Cézanne is regarded as the forerunner of western modern art together with Vincent Van Gogh and Gauguin. Cézanne is a watershed in the history of western fine art. There is a saying "before Cézanne and "after Cézanne".Cézanne's style has influenced the western fine art for centuries. His works concentrates on the spirits and subjective world of human beings. Especially in his later years,Cézanne faces "nature" directly in《Mont Sainte-Victoire》like an obstinate intellectual and shows a rich "ego" to the world. His masterpiece has inspired many artists and provided much space for them to think in developing their "vision".Therefore,it is necessary for researchers on figurative paintings to study Cézanne's works and his opinions on arts again.
