Contemporary Rocks In The Wind "sculpture Study

The so-called rock-appreciation refers to the natural rock with a certain shape,color, texture,rhyme scheme and poetic imagery with the main purpose of appreciation. Chinese rock-appreciation culture has a long history.However,with the changes of times,for various historical reasons,under the impact of Western cultures Chinese rock-appreciation culture is in a gradual decline.In the field of sculpture, contemporary sculpture artists are gradually discovering the contents of traditional Chinese culture,putting elements of Chinese rock-appreciation into sculptures of their own and become a trend,so that Chinese rock-appreciation culture received renewed attention from another point of view.The purpose of this paper is to start with the traditional Chinese rock-appreciation culture,to interpret the humane spirit behind it in order to analyze the works of contemporary sculpture with rock-appreciation elements,and explore the essence of traditional Chinese culture overshadowed by the Western cultures,thus to clarify the application and transmission of rock-appreciation culture of Chinese classical gardens in contemporary sculpture.
