Chao Ye Qian Contained "historical Value

Chao Ye Qian Zai is a sketchbook which mainly record current events between Wu Zetian's and Xuanzong's of Dynasty Tang written by Zhang Zhuo. It is full of meat although trivial in narration, not very succinct in writing, not meticulous in selection, but record all Chinese what one sees and hears then, and has provided the related first hand history material of Dynasty Tang for us, so it has the very high historical value. It was weak in research of Chao Ye Qian Zai which restricted to author biography and edition examination, and insufficiency to its historical value.Chao Ye Qian Zai has preserved the massive first hand materials about current events of Dynasty Tang for us. It is not only the same as documents of official history such as Old Annals of Dynasty Tang, but also is the important historical materials source of official history itself. In addition, it has recorded massive materials which didn't record by official history.This article mainly research Chao Ye Qian Zai, Old Annals of Dynasty Tang, New Annals of Dynasty Tang and Zi Zhi Tong Jian in the contrast to discuss its historical value. It include introduction and four chapters of main text, altogether five parts.
