Vocabulary teaching is an important part in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL).In recent years; it has become the hotpot in the linguistic study field. Nowadays, the study of morpheme teaching on TCFL shows that the study on Chinese morpheme has a great effect on vocabulary teaching, however, it is not deep enough and the morpheme study on"the Outline of HSK Vocabulary"is less than others. Based on analysis on the former study, this paper views the problem from morpheme to study the vocabulary in"the Outline of HSK Vocabulary". We take"the Outline of HSK Vocabulary"as investigative object to discuss the basic characters of morpheme teaching and the teaching strategy in practical application by studies and experiments. The paper also provides theory consult and practical guide.The paper has the following conclusion: Firstly, the combination types of morphemes is an important way for learners to understand and master vocabulary; secondly, to know the relationship between the types of the morpheme meaning and vocabulary on Compound words in modern Chinese, which provides good help for learners to understand Chinese words meanings. Thirdly, the result shows that learners have the morphological awareness and it is an important strategy to conjecture the meaning of a new word by the meaning of morphemes which make up of it; Finally, the method of teaching morphemes which can compose of a lot of words.
