Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty set an emperor commentary and subcommentary precedent for Laizi. His Laozi Zhu is based on thought of Taoist, summarized forefathers' understanding in Laozi. He takes advantages wildly from other's, absorbs essential of Taoist and Confucianism. Added his own unique visual and understanding, all chapter in Laozi carry on the deep explanation, aims at offering the standards of ethic for morality of the feudal officer ruling class. Thus a theory of running and stabilizing a country comes out, to achieve dynasty's long-term stability. This text attempts to explain these valuable culture resources from the side of administrative ethics.Tang XuanZong's Laozi Zhu mainly includes: First, on the basis that always studied in the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty takes " wonderful originally way " , " heavy and profound thought " as the foundation of Thoughts of Official's Moralities; Second, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty takes" fair and square " as the ethical foundation stone of the ruling class in Laozi Zhu; Third, pointed out clearly that" gracious compassion " as the aim of the ruling class; Fourth, emphasize that the officials should have " modest' optimistic mind; The fifth, want to strengthen one's own morals for the officials, keep " less desire and entertainment" ; The sixth, Most importantly for officials is keeping " Stillness and non-action " and " keep frugal and no intelligence " as heart experience. By doing so, improve himself and then reach "non-action".The best characteristics of Laozi Zhu of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty lie in first, in the full text, it is understood as a book especially for " sage ", each chapter is combined together with ruling class oneself; Second, while understanding Laozi, he often absorbs and uses the Buddhist, Confucian culture and spirit, make the full text not only has certain theory depth, but also accpeted and operated by normal people more easily. However, because Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty is a supreme ruler of the dynasty, Laozi Zhu has obvious history and class' limitation unavoidably, the basic goal that the author writes books and sets forth one's views is to serve for the feudal ruling class, and include the dross of much idealism. We should study it with eyes of history, scientific, development, understand it, inherit its rational content critically, offers help for contemporary officer's morality construction.
