The Mengzhou (nanzhuang Town) Phonetic Study

Meng Zhou is located in northeast of Henan Province,It is on the east of wen county,north of Qinyang,west of Jiyuan,Jili,and to the south of Mengjin,Yanshi,Gongyi by the yellow river.Meng zhou dialect belongs to the transitional area of the Jin dialect and Zhongyuan Mandarin dialect,which has obvious characteristics.Compared with the Luosong area in Zhongyuan Mandarin and the huoji area in the Jin dialect,it also has some commonalities as well as differences.However, until now,there has not been a systematic reseach on the phonology of the Mengzhou dialact. This article mainly studies the Meng zhou Nanzhuang town dialect phonology.The full text constitutes by seven parts,respectively is:the introduction,phonology,sandhi,er varied rhyme,the r-coloured vowel,the collection of the same pronunciation words,the contrast of the sound in today and the old time,the abrupt tone in Mengzhou dialect.The introduction mainly concerns about the location,history,population of Mengzhou,the significant of this topic and the method of the reseach.The phonology part introduces the commonalities and differences between the phonology of Nanzhuang county and Chengguan county,the charicteristics of the phonology in Nanzhuang and makes phonology table.The sandhi part mainly talks about the continuing reading tonal modification and its characteristics,the countiuing expression mode of all kinds of overlapping words and its characteristics,the countiuing mode of vivid adjective expression,the analysis of light tone,the relationship between the light tone and tone category and the reason of light tone and the function. The er varied rhyme part mainly analyse the process of the er varied rhyme,especially单~儿,汉~儿,毯~儿.The r-coloured vowel mainly talks about its category,the phenomenon of adding sound.The collection of the same prounciation words records the single words of Nanzhuang dialects,and add the words which always appear with r-coloured vowel.The contrast part compares the Nanzhuang dialect with the phonology of"切韵",makes the initial and consonant tables,in addition,compares the Mengzhou dialect with"中原音韵",which attests that the initial system of Mengzhou dialect is similar to the one of"中原音韵"and the sound of "jielai" rhyme in Mengzhou dialect is more similar to the sound of"中原音韵"than that in Beijing dialect.The last part mainly analyse the charcteristic of the abrupt tone and contend that the tone of the abrupt sound independently appears in Mengzhou dialect,which clarifies some misunderstanging about Mengzhou dialect belonging to the mandarin of Luoxu and Luosong.what's more,the closely relationship between the Mengzhou dialect and the huoji area in the jing dialect is observed.
