On The Folk Culture Of Liu Qingbang's Novels Writing

Liu Qingbang, a famous writer who was born in Henan,bends himself to the folk custom. And there is so much folk culture implicated in his works. Through discussing on folklores,this paper analyses the conception of folk custom and describes people's living condition in Liu's novel.The first chapter,by analysing their regional culture,regional custom,individual life experience and etc. This part casts back to the source of folk custom and the folk custom he used for reference.The second chapter, through analysing the kin function and blood relationship conception in his work,expatiates the inveterate conception of kin and blood relationship in folk custom.The third chapter analyses women's living condition under the folk custom in the following three aspects:Firstly,whereas there are so many restrictions for women in the folk custom,the living condition still put up biggish comfort;Secondly,by the affects of the male society,women have dualism to the conception of "home";Thirdly,describes women's real living condition under the folk custom by analysing their matrimonial value of materiality and subsidiary to man.The fourth chapter from scenery and the human sentiment, elaborates the conservatism of culture in Liu's novel;as well as his idiosyncracy of conservatism in expressing folk custom.
