Shanghai, a westernized city in early days, is used to being consumed as ametropolitan lacking in resources of local folk songs, actually otherwise in fact,that is not true. A batch of excellent folk adaptation repertoires of folk songsused to spring up in the Eastern China Folk Songs Joint Performance held in sixprovinces and shanghai, in 1986.For instance,《what bird brings flourishing days?, ?Joyful mulberry leaf harvest in sunny and rainy days》, and so on .Similarly,they both were adapted and created on the basis of traditional shanghai localfolk songs.Nowadays, society is undergoing tremendous changes in the life with theimprovement of living standards of material,and people show greater demand forspiritual life. So Chinese folk songs can not survive only depending on its ownreforms .In order to prolong its life and make it bouncing, with no doubt, it isanother key for Chinese folk songs to continue that professional musicians arein need to participate in adaptation, and innovation. In this regard, to make amasterpiece, which is well-loved, and full of artistic value and local tradition,as well as the flavor of the new era is a real awkward issue to any musician andscholars.The following paper aims at several special representative works in the 1980s and1990s, and tries to narrate my primary analysis and finds.
