At the beginning of his restoration of power, Zhongzong faced with an embarrassing situation of transferring his children, brother and biological mother's tombs at the same time. After balancing the weight, he finally decided to luxurize his daughter Princess Yong Tai's tomb while compromise the tomb inscription. In addition, Zhongzong inherited the legacy of the early Li family tradition of constructing temples for the welfare of relatives while at almost the same time carried out the construction of Yong Tai Temple in the memory of Princess Yong Tai, which can be verified by the similarity between the artistic relics on the wall of the temple by elite painters and her tomb murals.
