Study Of The Military Theme Of The New Century Drama Characters

Since the 21st century, Chinese TV series on military issues has been maintaining stable creation quantity. Whether the factor of creative ideas or the narrative pattern has a great breakthrough, especially in characterization.Many lifelike heroes, such as Long Kaifeng, Li Yunlong, Xu Sanduo, have melted in people's memories through the plot of the play.This paper takes Characters in Chinese TV series on military issue as the subjects of our study, trying to define and classify the Military issues TV series, reviewing the forming and developing process of those characters from the views of Television Arts and Communication, aesthetics, literature and cultural studies. This essay focuses on analying the officer characters, soldier characters and female characters, attempts to explore the social significance of those heroic images to the real life of contemporary people.
