In the 1930s, the urban development of Shanghai under the context of semi-colony had provided the historical context and cultural resources for the generation of modernist literature. The Urban Culture in Shanghai was the important factor for the generation of Modernist literature, whose cultural structure showed the character of ambiguity. The problems of metropolis, culture and modernist formeda complicated picture with the attraction of modernization. As a flow vein of Shanghai School literature, new sensational school developed in the rudimentary stage, which was also called Chinese Modernism. The writers represented by Zhecun Shi, Shiying Mu and Naou Liu who made use of the western writers' works, expanded the statement of Shanghai, which reached the peak of Urban Culture as its research angle and examines Shanghai, the cradle of Shanghai School, in the culture perspective. It cards and researches the creative works of the writers of new sensational school in the four aspects that is the background of urban culture, the form of urban culture, the research of urban text and the significance of cultural speech. And it further expounds the deep cultural implications of urban writing of new sensationgnal School.
