According to the perspective of culturological theory, folkway means not only a literacy term containing rich connotation and cultural metaphor but one of the important directions of painting art research. Folk painting is a main source of painting motivation. Meanwhile, it is a hiding place of folk art as well. Featured by colorful painting beneath the glaze coat and Temmoku (God's eyes) glaze, Jizhou Kiln, known as comprehensive ancient folk kiln, is famous for its more kinds of ceramic products, the whole types of glaze and decorative styles, which possessed strong local color and colorful national art. Compared with the products of the same time, the pattern style of color-painting art in Jizhou Kiln appears more elegant, specially, the creative decorative art of cutting decals and leaf pattern decorated on Temmoku bowls gained fame around the world, which become the most precious treasure of ceramic art. Furthermore, the unique decoration pattern and aesthetic value play a great leading role. When marinated in thick Song Dynasty cultural atmosphere, that can be sought to dig the aesthetic implication created in ceramic decoration, enjoy the deeply harmonious ancient colors and design, trace the real artistic spirit and tendency.Based on the introduction of the history background of Jizhou Kiln, features, forming cause and development of design decoration, this thesis has the deep discussion on the development of pattern decoration, characteristics, value of aesthetics,intrinsic meaning of modern aesthetics.In a word, the research mainly concerns the following issues:1. The introduction of Jizhou Kiln including the booming and declining history of Jizhou kiln as well as types of ceramics made in Jizhou kiln.2. The research to variety of decoration patterns of Jizhou kiln. It involves the forms and features of pattern employed to elucidate in a classified way.3. The paper takes a further analysis on the aesthetic perception of notion, feeling, forms produced by decoration art and intrinsic meaning of ceramics in Jizhou kiln.4. The reflection of modern aesthetics of Jizhou kiln ceramic decoration.On the condition of the thoroughly experiments and analysis presented in the issues above, the paper presents that the developing vein of unique decorative art of Jizhou kiln should be rationalized, then it discusses the characteristics and aesthetic value of Jizhou Kiln ceramic decorative pattern which obtains lucky and full, simple and natural, bold and generous styles that has met the aesthetic requirement of folk customs. And finally, guided by the reflection of modern aesthetics, Jizhou kiln ceramic decoration in Song Dynasty can be the inspiration of modern aesthetic implication, it is also original intention brought up in the connection of aesthetic value of traditional fork art and modern aesthetics. Besides, it is not only the expectation of Chinese modern fork art, but our basic attitude of cultural orientation.
