The Taihu Lake Area To The East Of Temple Into The Town "phenomenon

Convenient transportation and rapid development of commodity economy were thought as the main reason for the rise of towns in the study of traditional southern town, while "the formation of the town is due to the existence of the monastery" was neglected, but my paper wants to prove that it is important.My paper pays attention to the phenomenon that "the formation of the town is due to the existence of the monastery" of the areas to the east of Taihu Lake. It is widespread in this area, and has two different manifestations of its location, that are "old settlement displaces to monastery and then the new town rises" and "monastery lead the rise of the town".My paper uses five cases to give a complete description, stresses monastery and Xianghua bridge's effect in the rise of towns. At last, on the base of the study, the paper give a deep thought on how does culture become the driving force of economic phenomenon. People play a key role in the process, and then lead to the occurrence of economic phenomenon.
