The Rise Of The Modern Soldier And Civil And Military Relations Changes

Modern China has undergone a profound social transformation; the original social structure and political structure also have undergone profound changes. The military level flocked from the position of the margin of the society to the political center. Meanwhile, the knowledge level as the traditional social leadership declined. With the rise of the military, previously power structure of central and local governments no longer existed, which lead China into a long period of wars between warlords.Although in the process of social transformation, the military level interference in political affairs more and more, but the military regime itself has its natural vulnerability. They can't properly handle the transformation of society and promote the political integration of the country.This paper attempts to investigate the background and reason of the rise of the military level in Chinese modern history. And then analyze the transformation of relationship between central and local governments. Meanwhile, make a simple explanation to the question that why modern party politics can replace the military regime.
