Guo Yu is the literary masterpiece of pre-Qin Dynastry, whose language has a characteristic style of the pre-Qin Dynastry. After Guo Yu had handed down, many scholars has made explanation for it, Wei Zhao Zhu is the most excellent one 0f which, representing the highest level of all. Wei Zhao lives in wu of San Guo Dynastry, whose language in Wei Zhao Zhu has distinctive characteristics of the Three Kingdoms Period. In this thesis, a comparison of vocabulary and grammar study, between Guo Yu and Wei Zhao Zhu, will be made in order to show evolution of language development from ancient times to the medieval period.This thesis Is divided into three parts:Chapter 1: the introduction. This chapter discusses the object of the study ,such as Wei Zhao's life, his works of linguistics, the current situation and Significance of studying Guo Yu, then emphasize the way and Significance of studying Guo Yu and Wei Zhao Zhu.Chapter 2: the reasche of comparison of vocabulary between Guo Yu and Wei Zhao Zhu. The phenomenon of Polyphony exsits in inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells, and is increasely payed close attention with the development of society and economy. So Polyphony is the Maximum developmet of works between pre-Qin Dynastry and San Guo Dynastry. This chapter will compared Polyphony between Guo Yu and Wei Zhao Zhu in aspects of quantity, pos and meaning, based on research on polyphony criteria and quantity Wei Zhao Zhu, including single-morpheme words compound words and empty words. There is no meaning studing Single-morpheme words, so compound words and empty words. will be analysed in detail.Chapter 3: the reasche of comparison of grammar between Guo Yu and Wei Zhao Zhu. In the Diachronique comparison, contrary to grammar , the diversification of Vocabulary is the most part in One language. Although grammar has Stability to a certain extent, it also vary itself according to development of society and vocabulary. Chinese from ancient times to the medieval period is certain to change greatly, grammar of which may Continue to exist, die out or advace. This chapter we will compare Guo Yu to Wei Zhao Zhu in grammar so as to reveal development and changes of it from ancient times to the medieval period in six aspects, including appearance of table of special verb-object word, clarity of phrase structure, changes of connected terms, reduction of Omit ingredients, changes of order of words and passive sentences.Chapter 4: Conclusions .Fom the Guo Yu to Wei Zhao Zhu, changes of vocabulary or grammar have taken place, such as the quantity of Polyphony increasing, degree of enrichment of the pos enhaching, grammatical structure clariting., which reflects the law of the evolution of Chinese language from the ancient medieval period and the economic growing of Chinese language.
