Shanxi is one of the earlier areas of Chinese cultural development, Shanxi folk song has a long history and wide variety of broad rang of topics, form different, and thus formed its own unique artistic style and distinctive local characteristics. In 2006, Shanxi folk song in the "Zuo Quan flowering tune" and "He Qu folk song" were selected as the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage folk music class first two, which also shows from an aspect of traditional folk songs in Shanxi lies its charm.The traditional needs of inheritance,creating need for innovation.
