Ravel Maurice is one of the most important composer in France at the end of 19th century. Artistic songs run through his whole writing career, and the early artistic songs make important testing role to the formation of his musical style. In this paper, the early seventeen art songs are researched. Firstly, it focuses on harmony analysis, and makes a whole carding to the writing background and songs style of Ravel's early artistic songs from three aspects, which is lyrics style of songs,charactistic of vocal melody and musical structure. Then, the paper makes a detail theoretical analysis to Ravel's early artistic songs from multiple concrete aspects including mode and tonality,chord strucutre,chord progressive and musical expression etc, and it trys to find out stytle charactistic and creation orientation of Ravel's early chord. At last, the paper makes a sampling comparison between Ravel and other composers in several aspects, such as human voice melody shape,harmonic charactistic and texture shapeof the piano etc, and it trys to find out the origin and development of his musical style. In additional, a sampling comparison between early works and later works is made to find out the formation process of Ravel's musical style and aesthetic concept.
