The 21th century with a variety of electronic media in-depth life, visual culture has become the main way after the language and writing,and makes the field of view of the populace much more larger and the thought more profound.Contemporary art is becoming more and more diverse, universal. Study and absorb more experience in divers domains, appreciate the sens of psychology through the image visual to better highlight the art spirit form, has become the source of the spirite to seek by the modern oil painting creators . While the theory of gestalt about perception and thinking explaines the system of psychology and the system of physique which gave life to beauty of painting and unify the affection and the form in the level perceptible,all of that indicate a way more scientific to the morden art of painting .This article begins from the gestalt theory of visual perception to clarify key visual perception and understanding of the characteristics of the law, the focus of visual perception in the form of psychological and creative contemporary painting, and describes the gestalt theory intervention to oil, and this combination of function and significance. The first part of the article is the development of the gestalt psychology, and the law of gestalt vision in modern embodiment of painting. The second part analyze the function in visual perception and in the thought from artist and the audience's point of view . The third part combined with his artistic practice, clarify the gestalt theory on creative thinking creativity of contemporary painting. The last key summary, the gestalt of visual perception theory and contemporary painting of meaning, and this combination for the importance of the development of contemporary painting.
