Traditional Chinese realistic figures painting is obviously stylized. The processes of figures painting in this style are: differentiating figures, reducing the figures to stereotypes and forming relatively stable models, which make the painting figures of one type to be shaped identically. The paper, based on the image analysis, using sociology, bibliography and other multi-disciplinary approaches, taking maiden figures painting during the period from Wei Jin to Qing dynasty as the research object, discusses what maiden figures painting features were and how they came into being. In the traditional Chinese realistic figures painting, similar maiden figures'appearances can be seen in the same work, different works of the same painter or era. The maiden figures stereotypes were characterized by their similar appearances, figures and shapes, by nonrepresentational images. The major causes of forming this stereotype are because of males'visual aesthetics, aesthetics of different eras, painters'"watching while remembering every details"observation methods and painters'tracing based learning method. There are some specific historical reasons of forming Traditional Chinese maiden figures images'similarities , but the great general images creation process and mental imagery maiden figures design still give us positive help.
