Le Clezio "drag Racing" In The "urban Fringe" Interpretation

Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio is the winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize for Literature, he is a "author of new departures, poetic adventure and sensual ecstasy, explorer of a humanity beyond and blew the reigning civilization". In Le Clézio 's novels, the" marginal man " is a valuable and meaningful part. This is also the reason to choose " the urban marginal man " as a starting point.The thesis's preamble is mainly on the author's life and writing, current research, subjects and research methods. The main part of this thesis mainly divided into five sections: the definition of the urban marginal man; the existential background of the urban marginal man; the existential mode of the urban marginal man; the spiritual dilemma of the urban marginal man; the soul's saving of the urban marginal man. In the thesis, I tried hard to relate the existential situation of the urban marginal man with the author's writing skills, I have use of the images(take television, garden, window, mirror, water for example), the stream of consciousness and the dual focalization to analyse the inward world of the urban marginal man. The concluding of the thesis is mainly point out that Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio is the humanistic writer who be concerned about the "marginal man " all the time.Currently, for this writer's research is still relatively small and his work's research in "urban marginal man " have no specific writings, this thesis has certain significance. Through this thesis, I hope more people to concerned about the "marginal man ".
