Bentham And Rawls Comparative Study On The Legitimacy Of Social Thinking

Justice question has been a hot topic in the political philosophy concern, especially in today's society, growing gap between rich and poor, which has led to economic, political and social topics of social legitimacy highlights, therefore, it is the problem which we need to constantly explore in the process of building a harmonious society.Rawls'justice theory is his theoretical crystallization in the process of exploring solutions of social justice issues, he have a extensive and far-reaching impact in western and theoretical perspective, and all our academic circles, his theory is built on the basis of criticizing utilitarianism, so this paper try to make a comparative study between John rawls thoughts and utilitarianism representatives, we analysis rawls critical and transcendence comparing to bentham, thought of social legitimacy from both the definition of the different Angle measuring society, and their principle and procedures of establishing the ideal society, and their respective theoretical limitation and significance, and so on, in order to get the suitable theory and solutions to China's social development. Meanwhile, analyzing their theories combined with the Marxism theory and perspective, reference rawls and bentham theory of rational thought meanwhile, combining the Marxism philosophy theory and practical for the current social development in our country, and explore the theory thought.
