Social stability is the same goal for any society to pursue. Since Reformation and Opening, along with the acceleration of social transformation, a series of social problems have appeared in China so that social instability increased which poses a great threat to the social stability. We should renew this problem today that further study in the whole society to implement the scientific concept of development. The dimension of social philosophy, the overall grasp to the human social life, concerns the real social life directly, which study on the process of people's real life from the concrete forms of social structure as the breakthrough point. The dramatic change of the social life during the transformation period makes people pursue the significance of social life incredible urgently. In nowadays market economy, social fields'isolation highlights the features of social structure, so we should continue to do the research on social stability underlying such basic trend.Based on the field of philosophy, this dissertation mainly analyzes the social structure in all areas comprehensively through the method of system theory and combining the relative knowledge which refers to political science, sociology, philosophy and psychology to make an rational analysis on social stability. This dissertation is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the definition of social stability, pointing out that the nature of stability is an order of ordering, the consequence of people's conscious control. With respect to the social instability, different relations exist between two conditions (reformation, revolution and unrest) and social stability respectively. The features of social stability refers to relativity, dynamics, process and various forms, so social stability is of great importance to both personal and social development. In this section, the comprehensive dialectical view is adopted to analyze this issue. The second part points out the four factors that influence social stability by analyzing social structure. The first one is social change and the reasonable degree of social structure. Then because the society is made up of people, so the next factor is refer to culture and psychology. The conflicts of interest also affect social stability as well, and finally, the environment outside the social system will affect social stability. The third is mainly based on the reality of Chinese society in transition to explore the realization mechanism of social stability actively by comparing those four factors that affect social stability, which are moderate social control, cultural psychological adjustment and the control to the external environment. In nowadays of social transition, in-depth social research on social stability from philosophical aspect has a great important significance for us to build a harmonious socialist society.
