Social Justice In China Since The Reform And Opening Up Changes

Abstract:Since the reform and opening policy, with advancing the process of modernization and market economy, the national economy is developing rapidly and people's living standard is improving dramatically. In the meantime, the modern idea of social concept of justice, especially the part which is closely associated with market economy, has been forming in China. As people shake off equalitarianism gradually and had experienced some period such as giving priority to efficiency with due consideration to fairness and paying more attentions to social justice, finally the idea of social fairness and justice is beginning to take shape during the present time. Moreover and definitely, the improvement of social concept of justice plays a significant role in the Communist Party of China exercise leadership in Modernization Construction and Socialist Market Economy.As Chairman Hu Jintao put it in a speech, "Guarding and accomplishing the idea of social justice is an essential aspect of socialist system, the need of the Chinese Communist Party's principle which is works for the public and assumes power for the people and accord with the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people. In this way, people will feel happy and social relationship will become attuned. Furthermore, it will stimulate people's initiative and creativity." Having a scientific theory of social concept of justice is an important condition for the construction of Harmonious Society, a pressing need of ensuring economical development, an indispensable premise of political construction and an ethical element for the development of education.Development calls for new ideas in a new stage. It can be seen clearly that the Chinese Communist Party has gained a better understanding of justice and efficiency and enriched intention and extension continuously from all previous central governments since the reform. For justice, we explore it from economical justice to political, cultural and social justice. What is more, we also pay attention to the other respects, for instance, in right, judicature, education, society, process and consequence, which all embody the principle of "giving fundamental consideration to people's interests". On the other hand, for efficiency, we focus on it from economically inefficient to laying equal stress on economically and technical efficiency, from microcosmic efficiency to laying equal stress on microcosmic and macroscopical efficiency in order to arouse all kinds of market entities'activity and ensure economical development. In the future, we should give consideration to both justice and efficiency, bring about the rational efficiency and lead economical development with humanistic sense of worth. Besides, we also should respect all members'rights to allow them live with their dignity and build the most perfect idea of social concept of justice which accord with the true development trend of the human society.This thesis, discussed the research of social concept of justice in deferent times in our country, especially since the reform, aims to find an idea which is suitable to conditions in China for setting up related policies to promote accord development of society.
