The end of the Cold War had brought new political environment to the Middle East and created a new era of the Turkish-Israeli relations. The trajectories and characteristics of Turkish-Israeli relations in the post-Cold War Era are different from those in the Cold War era. In the post-Cold War era, the Turkish-Israeli relations have been more overt and had more obvious rises and falls when compared with the Cold War era. From the author’s point of view, the Turkish-Israeli relations in the post-Cold War era can be divided into two periods. The first period is the 1990. During this period, Turkey and Israel had greatly improved their relations, cooperated more and more closely and strengthened the ties between two countries. The second period is from the beginning of the 21st century until nowadays. During this period, more conflicts and frictions have grown between Turkey and Israel. The Turkish-Israeli relations have turned to apathy and even deterioration. From the author’s point of view, the reasons that cause the change of the Turkish-Israeli relations in the Post-Cold War era can be explained through analyzing and researching several variables. This article is going to describe the process of developments of the Turkish-Israeli relations after the end of the Cold War, analyze the specific variables that influence the Turkish-Israeli relations during the post-Cold War era, and forecast the trend of the Turkish-Israeli relations in the future reasonably.
