Problems And Countermeasures Of Mosque Management In Dongzhimen, Beijing

Religious activities management is an important part of the management of Religious Affairs. Mosque is the center of Muslim religious activities and social activities which all Muslims ethnic groups held religious activities, education, culture, religious affairs. Strengthening the management of the mosque has an important significance for maintaining the healthy development of Islam to unite the religious believers. The management body of the mosque-produced by Democratic Management Committee after the election of Muslim, carry on self-management to the educational administration and the temple affairs, and accept the supervision of the Party committee, the government, the Islamic Association and the Muslim masses.Beijing Dongzhimen mosque has some experience in maintaining security and stability, uniting religious people, severing social development, which has also been actively exploring in against extremist ideology, strengthening the management of foreign affairs and so. This paper, through the study of the existing problems and countermeasures of the management of the mosque, provides some reference for strengthening the management of the mosque.In this paper, used the method of literature, analyses the attitude and management style of the ruling classes on the spread of Islam in the past dynasties and the changes of the internal management style of Islam. It divides the mosque management into two aspects, they are external management and internal management. According to the existing laws and regulations, the main body of the external management of the mosque for the Party committee is the government, the Islamic Association and the Muslim masses, and the mosque democratic management committee as the main body of internal management which manages educational administration and temple affairs. Through the field investigation method, it studies the present situation of the management of the mosque by the Party committee, government, the Islamic Association and the Muslim masses, and it also researches on the educational administration and the temple affairs by the Mosque Management committee, and then makes an overall evaluation. Through empirical analysis, it classifies the problems in the management of the mosque. By using the theory of Marx’s religion, management and sociology, it puts forward the countermeasures to strengthen the management of the mosque.This study found that the party and the government, the Islamic Association and Muslims attaches great importance to the safety and stability of Dongzhimen mosque, focusing on strengthening the positive guidance of the religious people, to ensure that the normal development of religious affairs. Temple Management Committee of Dongzhimen Mosque focus on the active role of Islam, the consolidate national unity and the religious stability, advocating the concept of service which received praise from all the Muslim masses. The management of the mosque has a high level in standardization and democratization. The main problems existing in the management of Dongzhimen Mosque are facing the new challenges of social development, the weakness of the basic religious institutions and personnel, the legalization of religious work needs to be improved and the management level of the temple management should be strengthened. Therefore, combined with the existing problems, this article puts forward suggestions include improving the level of standardized management of religious work, promoting the construction of the rule of law in the mosque management, enhancing the modernization level of the management of the mosque, mosque connotative developmentand strengthening the team construction of religious representatives.
