Study On Function Of The Mosque In Local Governance In Ethnic Areas

Mosque, as one of the local governance body in the ethnic regions in Guanghe County and also the important Islamic religious activity places, it plays an important role in the Muslim's material and spiritual life. As one of the less developed ethnic minority areas in Gansu Province, Guanghe County is restricted by the backwardness of education, public service facilities lag and sectarian conflicts for a long time.Thus, the mosque begins to protect Muslims' basic life as a new social governance body.This paper studies the mosque's function in minority areas grass-roots community governance, are described from a religious function, education function,political function, and social harmony function.But also the paper described a simple analysis of the mosque's other features and mutation function.And the paper pointed out in a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the current functions of the Mosque in Local governance in Guanghe County, in training outstanding teaching staff, to resolve sectarian conflict and has played an active management in coordinating civil disputes, to promote national unity and building a harmonious society. Meanwhile, the article also explained the reasons for the mosque at the grassroots level in the process of social governance function appears lacking, including inadequate education reform by the mosque, sectarian conflict prevention mechanisms are inadequate, the concept of alienation and religious people poor interaction between the mosque and the Government.
