Research On Cultivating Socialist Core Values

Culture, as a spiritual force, can play a key role in social progress and development, in the prosperity and strength of a country. At present, our country is comprehensively constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics, and following the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics in order to achieve socialist modernization. The report of the Eighteen National Congress of the Communist Party of China calls for promoting prosperity, democracy, civility, and harmony, upholding freedom, equality, justice, the rule of law and advocating patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendship, so as to cultivate and observe core socialist values. It’s the first time that the concept of the core values of socialism is formulated into the programmatic document of the party, which indicates that the ideological consensus of our country and society has reached a new level, shows the continuous awareness of theoretical innovation of the Communist Party of China. It is a great task for our Party to cultivate and observe core socialist values, which is of major immediate significance and far-reaching historical significance for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics. Each member of the Party and our society should do our bit for the great task.The cultivation and observance of core socialist values are the two aspects of one thing, and both are indispensable. This article analyzed the related concept of values, combed the process and the connotation of core socialist values in detail, and summarized the important meanings and the essential methods of cultivating core socialist values. The article argues, at the first, the cultivation of core socialist values can ensure the stable development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Secondly, it can increase China’s cultural soft power and the cohesiveness of the Chinese people and nation. Thirdly, it can maintain social stability and build a harmonious society. At the last, it can make for promoting the social progress and well-rounded development of the person. Therefore, to cultivate core socialist values, we must propagate it positively, strengthen the mainstream voice and promote outstanding traditional Chinese culture. We must try our best to achieve it on at least three fronts, such as the thought aspect, the social governance aspect, and the practical aspects of life. The point I wish to emphasize is that it’s a systematic task to cultivate core socialist values, through the six methods in the article, and we should achieve it by observing core socialist values.
