Research On The Implementation Of Government Function In Drug Price Management

Medicine price is an important issue. In recent years, the rapid development of people’s growing demand for drugs, the problem of the excessive growth of Medical costs have become increasingly prominent. The drug price management in China from the strict control, to fully open, and then to gradually strengthen the management. In this process, the government plays a very important role. At present, there is still "drug costs continue to rise ", "the circulation of chaos" and "supervision mechanism is not perfect" and other issues. Therefore, the government role in the management of drug prices and a change of direction is the key to promote the reform of drug price formation mechanism, set up a scientific system of medical cost control, and to maintain the public interest.Based on the current drug price management system in China, this paper studies the orientation of government functions and the direction of the transformation in the process of drug price reform.The use of lead the demand, asymmetric information and rent-seeking theory, take the way of combination of theory study and case analysis, analysis of drug price control of China past and present and points out the functions of the government in which to play the role. At the same time, learn from foreign mature management experience, put forward recommendations on the transformation of government functions and improve the management of drug prices in the next phase of China’s drug price management reform process.
