Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which is composed by principles of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, non-interference in each other's internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit and peaceful coexistence, was put forward, applied and continuously developed on the basis of summarizing the historic experience of international relations, through exploring of diplomatic practice of new China. It concentrated the crystallization of wisdom of the first generation of collective leadership, it contained great amount of creative contribution of the second generation of collective leadership, with Deng Xiaoping at the core. It also included the inheriting and surmounting of the third generation of collective leadership, with Jiang Zemin as the key figure. It was a major contributor to state image of China. Based firmly on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, the Chinese people molded a good state image which is independent, peaceful, opening-up and increasingly flourish, standing towering in the east of world.
