Many multinational companies have reached the stage of theglobal supply chain management. The theory of integrated logisticmanagement has been widely applied in many famous companies in theworld. They get the advantages of competition through integrating theirlogistic management. Now many scientists of management believe that theability in logistics is the core ability of a corporation. The level of logisticmanagement in the domestic manufacture industries is still at the primarystage. Its development lags behind the advanced countries. It is veryimportant to research and discuss the logistic restructuring for i ~ torestructure our corporations' logistics which is useful to improvir~ thecorporation's ability of logistics and attain the core competence.The author investigated in the SHENYANG JINBEI Mini BusManufacturer from July to August in 2000 and took part in the course oflogistic restructuring. Currently, the corporation's logistic ability limits thecontinuous development of the corporation. To be the leader in the mini busmarket, JINBEI has the strategy of increasing its output and maintainingthe market position. But its logistics can not meet the need. So the logisticrestructuring is the main part of its development strategy. The dissertation isbased on the reality of the firm and the logistic integration theory. Theauthor hopes that the papers will be helpftil to logistic restructuring in thedomestic corporations.There are six parts in this papcr, which are as follows:1.The principles of logistics. This part gives us a theoretical base todiscuss the logistic restructuring in JINBEI Company. Logistics is amovement of materiel and goods in time and space. The enterpriselogistics is a process from materiel stock to sales and after-sales service,3which involves demand forecast, purchase, manufacturing support,materiel management, sire choice, storage management, transport,packing, order settlement and customer service. The logistic integrationis a process from materiel purchasing, manufacturing to sales, whichincludes three parts: purchasing, manufacturing supports and delivety.Extending and combining the customers and the inner logistic ofsuppliers, these three parts construct an outer logistic integration. Theprocess needs the harmony between the material flow and theinformation flow. A logistic cycle is a complete loop of purchasingperiod, manufacturing support period and deliveiy period.2.Analyzing the reality in JINBEI and showing the problems. From theview of auto manufacturing techniques, the logistics in manufacturesystem has tow parts: bodywork flow and parts flow, their degree ofharmonizing reflecting efficiency. The different plants have the differentparts flow management, which is the main part of logistic management.JTNBEI has the following problems:a.The function of logistics is quite simple. The logistic managementdepartment only controls the parts flow. The bodywork flow is outof its control.b.The computer don't get wide application in the stock management,which results in the inexact stock data.c.The division of the work positions is unfit for the distribution,which prolongs the distribution period.d.There are some problems in the lIT and MRP II systems. They needto be improved.e.The quality criterions are different in each department.f.The logistic department is lack of the instruments.3.This part discusses the reason of logistic restructuring and the goal ofthe reengineering.
