On The Dual Nature Of Economic Law

With the coming of the new century, the socialist market-oriented economic structure in China is undergoing a further reform. The government ,placed in the center of the reform, plays a significant and particular role in the process. As a legal department responsible for conforming and standardizing the action taken by the government to intervene in economy, economic law aims at adjusting the relationship between the government and the market .So it is of great practical importance to understand clearly the kernel of economic law .This paper ,by focusing on the relationship between the government and the market ,starts from the history of economic law ,then reveals the double qualities of market control and macroeconomic regulation, by employing the ways commonly used in Economic . These two qualities are unity of opposites in the economic law system ,and it is advisable for our country to pay equally great attention to them in the course of the economic law construction ,thus helping to achieve our goal of entrusting to the government the right of intervening in economy and preventing it from abusing the right at the same time.
