Study Of China's Cotton Import And Export Trade

The purpose the research is to make some suggestions for the development of cotton export and import between China and other countries.The paper consists of three parts. The first part including two chapters analyzes the history and present situation of Chinese cotton export and import. In the first chapter, the historical development of cotton international trade system is introduced. The second chapter points out a series problems in practice and the causes that result in the troubles. The third, the fourth and the fifth chapter compose the second part. In the third chapter, we explore the influence on cotton international trading system after China being a member of WTO. Then we analyze the upper hand of China in competition with the other country and the regional comparative advantage. In the fifth chapter, the trading relations between China and other cottony country are researched. In the third part, namely the sixth chapter, there are three suggestions are proposed on the basis of above analyses. Firstly, change the cotton international trading status in the strategy of cotton economy. Secondly, by the chance of taking part in WTO, China should take further steps to reform the cotton export and import system. Thirdly, improve the technicality factor of the development of cotton production and trade.
