AB STRACT Globalization is the result of the development of social productive force. It has gradually formed since the emerge of the western capitalistic production mode and large-scale industry. In 1990抯, globalization began to become a strengthening trend under the influences of the information revolution and the global economic reforms in developing countries and now it is changing our everyday life. Every nation has been involved into this great wave. Globalization acts as a double-sides sword, it brings not only new changes to the socialist countries but also new challenges. It has become an important research subject for them in order to direct their development in the right track. This article explains both the procedure of globalization and the coordinative development of the socialist countries under the guidance Marxism and puts forward some policies and strategies that the socialist countries should have to meet the new challenges. This article is divided into four parts: Part one: The present essences of globalization. It mainly reveals that globalization is the objective trend of the 4 Li world history, with a thorough demonstration of the inter-communication, inter-relation and inter-action between the nations on worldly scale. Part two: Globalization is in accordance with socialism. Chinese ways of building a socialist country show that actively taking part in the process of globalization helps building our socialism. Part three: Globalization influences much on socialist countries, it brings challenges on their good quality, political strategy, legislation and national safety. Part four: The developing strategies for socialism under the tendency of globalization. It involves some principles that socialist countries should insist and the strategies that they must have when participating the globalization, including: grasping the opportunities, expanding their own influences, adjusting their economic order, opening further, perfecting the political systems, etc.
