Construction Project Risk Management

Risk is in everywhere and at every time. All enterprises may meet with risk; construction enterprises when they carry out project management are not exception. What kind of structure organization and style of risk management that should be use by construction enterprises? How to distinguish risk, analysis risk, plan risk, deal with risk and supervise risk can make construction enterprises success? In this paper, I focus on these points to explain the process that construction enterprise carry out risk management.It includes six parts. At the beginning, I give a definition to risk and risk management, and also give some data to explain how it is important. At second part, in order to do the best of risk management, I adjust the old structure of organization. Then conclude a style of risk management that construction enterprises should be use in project management. At the fourth part, I give a detailed description about the process of risk management. This process includes five sections: distinguish of risk, analysis of risk, planning of risk, handling of risk and supervising of risk. It's a dynamic state. In this paper, it provides seven ways for construction enterprises when they carry out project management to distinguish risk. Then use Expert Survey or Administrative Levels Analysis to analyses risk and give out the different dealing way to different risk. At the last, they choose a suitable way to deal with the risk. It includes six ways: loss control, risk keep, risk avoidance, risk decentralization, risk transfer and risk use. The last of risk management is supervision, supervise risk during carrying out project by the special risk management structure or department of the construction enterprises, and conclude at the next project. The risk management is development and cycle cause, every step is not lonely and connection closely each other.At present, the articles are less about risk management, especially more less for construction enterprises. Now, risk management is obviously important for a construction enterprise. My paper provides one way about risk management for construction enterprises.
