Mao zedong's anti-corruption thought has its own characteristics in Mao zedong's thought system. It has two basic characteristics: one is that the emphasis on ideological & political education. It emphasizes the anti-corruption from the view of mind, and analyzes the root of corruption from the subjective aspect. There are three following reasons for the formation of the thought: the opinion of paying much attention to transform people's subjective world so as to transform their objective world is its philosophical base, the influence of Chinese traditional culture is its culture base, and the practice of the new democratic revolution is its historical base. The other is that taking advantage of mass movement to combat corruption. It can be seen in the several mass movements after 1949, such as "three oppositions" and "five oppositions" movements, "three oppositions" movement in the countryside, consolidating the party style movement, consolidating the party style and commune movement, socialist education movement and the great cultural revolution. There are two reasons for the employment of mass movement. One is the tremendous inertia of mass movement during the period of revolution. The other is that the anti-bureaucracy movie of Mao zedong's paying attention to and mobilizing mass movement. The anti-corruption has been controlled to a large extent. But it also has its side effect. That is to say, it distracts the party from its central task and infringes on people's right. We can draw inspiration from the characteristics of Mao zedong's anti-corruption. Firstly, the origin of corruption should be investigated to the combing effect of the subject, object and environment. Secondly, ideological & political education and legal system play different roles in the anti-corruption movement, and the combination of them is the basic tactics of anti-corruption. Lastly, in the course of anti-corruption movement, we should depend on the broad masses of the people allowed by legal system.
