With the delelopment of globalization and IT, the environment of the companies has changed. At the end of this year, china will entry the WTO. How can Chinese companies compete againest foreign companies without the defence of tariff. In this situation, does later-comer advantage exist there? If there does, how can Chinese companies win it? It's obviously important to study these questions and find a way to solve them.Admittedly, there exists advantage and disadvantage to the later-comer. To discuss whether there is later-comer advantage isn't important, the most important is to find a way to win later-comer advantage in the condition of globalization.In the view of RBP, the growth of Chinese companies can be separated three stages:The first stage is to accumulate resource, consisting of obtaining tangible and intangible asset. Resource is the driver of companies growth, so if companies can quicken the process of resource accumulation, it can get the advantage. Luckly, technology transfer and technology outsource is the shortcut way to build new resource. This article discusses the new model, factors and methods of build technology resource for Chinese companies.The second stage is to augment and leverage capabilities, which is the companies's collective capacity for undertaking a specific type of activity. This article discusses the ways to raise the competitive level, namely Chinese companies can possess competence throught learning, BPR and innovation. Only in this way. can Chinese companies avoid droping in the trap of import-lag-reimport.The third stage is to go global. Globalization is offering companies technology and market opportunities, which made companies rethink business model, processes and relationships along the whole length of value chain. This article introduces the ways of identifying and grasping the opportunities.Though network and globalization has changed the way of second innovation, it's still a shortcut way to win the later-comer advantage.
