This paper analyzes the industrial structure of the civil aviation maintenance industry in China, the competitive strategy positioning of the civil aviation maintenance companies and the measures incorporating the competitive strategy with Ameco-Beijing as a case study, based on the competitive advantage theory, the environment theory of the strategy management, the core competence of the company and the selection theory of the competitive strategy.In the industrial structure analysis of the civil aviation maitenance industry in China, this paper studies the external environmental factors, including the market development and demand, the macro industry policy of our country, the effects of WTO-entry and the effects of the "911" terrorist attack, and analyzes the six competitive forces of the civil aviation maintenance industry in China.In the selection and positioning analysis of competence strategy of the civil aviation maintenance companies, this paper studies the Ameco-Beijing, analyzes the core competences of Ameco-Beijing, and points out the methods of bringing up and promoting its core competences. This paper concludes that Ameco-Beijing should adopt the corporate strategy of both low cost and high quality plus different kinds of business strategy in various business units in the civil aviation maintenance industry in China. In the end of this paper, the measures incorporating the above-mentioned competitive strategy are provided in five aspects including the adjustment of the organization structure, the motivational mechanism on human resources, etc.
