Motor manufacturer usually is seen as the leey industry in the process of industralization of developed countries, which almost represents one state's competence ability in the world. Currently, China is industralizing. After entering up WTO, china will need more powerful strategic industry to support the national economy. Therefore, China points out that motor industry will be a pillar of national economy, and the fundmental policy is to persist in the way of open competence and self-development. In this thesis, the author think that motor enterprises, especially state-owned motor enterprises should make individual policies to carry out the development thoughts of the Central Goverment. This thesis tries to research on the strategy of DongFeng Motor corporation(DFMC) meeting the challenges from entering up WTO, and then brings out the concrete process of the development thoughts of motor industry in China. Through these analyses, the thesis hopes to find the balance between the correct macro control of Central Goverment and flexiable micro practice of enterpries. The thesis is made up of four parts:Part one: The elaboration on the theories of enterpise strategy studies. Strategy studies of DFMC is built on the basis of these theories.Part two: The analysis on international and domestic situations of DFMC after China entering up WTO. In the part, analized is the competence enviroment, and pointed out is that DFMC face up to a different situation from before, which is full of disadvantages and advantages.Part three: Studies on several enterprise examples. Through the comparation of several successful and failuer enterprises, the thesis summarizes some fundmental principhes of thought way contect and method of strategy policies, and in the light of these lessons showed are development strategy of DFMC.Part four: The summary of development of DFMC in the future.IVAccording to the positive analyses the thesis makes a final conclusion on how DFMC expand and enlarge itself to meet international competence.
