China Petrochemical Group Of International Business Strategy

The integration of global economy is an inevitable result of enterprises' internationalization , at the same time, this kind of trend forces the enterprises to take a broad view of global market for a better live and development, so they should carry out international operation.In Chapter 1 of this article, we orientate that SINOPEC is stepping on an elementary stage of international operation at present and elaborate the inevitability of multi-national development in accordance with Dunning's "Comprehensive Advantage Theory" and Leo's "Technology Localization Theory". Chapter 2 gives an analysis of three administrative levels of environment faced by SINOPEC during multi-national operation, which are international and domestic environment, industry environment and competitive capability of the enterprises. As an result, we make it clear that SINOPEC has basically possessed both inner and outer conditions of multi-national operation. Chapter 3 gives an intensive analysis of strategy models used during SIN OPEC's international operation. At last, we probe into the models in Chapter 4, and work out the strategic coclusion that we should make SINOPEC into a multi-national enterprise group which possesses a strong competitive capability. We also point out that SINOPEC should focus on the exploitation of international oil gas resources, enhance the trade of crude oil and other products, accelerate the international transference of mature technologies and open up emerging market among developing countries. Meanwhile, we choose a strategic location of international operation according to the strategic emphasis mentioned above , divide the international operation strategy of SINOPEC into different stages, and set up some guaranteed measures to form a complete set with those strategies.In a conclusion, we find out that it's very necessary for SINOPEC to grasp all opportunities and carry out the strategies as soon as possible.
