The Post-Cold War US-Japan security cooperation relations continue to keep the original Cold War form and also be strengthened. The reinforcement of the Post-Cold War security cooperation relations become one of the important factors of how to reconstruct the international relations and political structure. This paper tries to make a more comprehensive and in-depth analysis of the reinforcement of the Post-Cold war US-Japan security cooperation relations, the causes of the reinforcement and the impact of the reinforcement on the international relations .Preface: This part makes a brief introduction to the prediction of the future of the Past-Cold War US-Japan security cooperation relations made by experts, scholars and politicians and to the differences between the prediction and the reality. On this base, the issues that the paper analyzes are raised that are the reinforcement of the Post-Cold War US-Japan security cooperation relations, the causes of the reinforcement and the impact of the reinforcement.Part One: This part mainly deals with the reinforcement of the US -Japan security cooperation relations after the Cold War. First, the United States and Japan redefined their alliance. The US and Japan redefined and strengthened their security cooperation relations through the Japan-US Joint Declaration on the Security, the New US-Japan Defense Cooperation Guideline and the Three Emergency Laws. After the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, Japan took the chance and made a law once again called Special Measures to Anti-terrorism Act and other Acts that reinforced continuously the US-Japan security-cooperation relations. Second, the United States and Japan made a joint research and development of the Theatre Missile Defense System so as to further strengthen the security cooperation and improve their overall attack and defense capabilities. Last, this thesis analyzes the US military bases in Japan. After the Cold War, U.S. didn't withdraw its troops from Japan's territory but maintains them. Always happened some contradictions, frictions and clashes that are confined in the framework of their coordination and cooperation.Part Two: The causes of the reinforcement of the US -Japan security cooperation relations after the Post-Cold War are analyzed. The change of the international and internal environment, the America's strategic end and Japan's strategic end are the factors that result in the reinforcement of the US -Japan security cooperation relations after the Cold War. By analyzing these factors, it is pointed out that the overlapping of America and Japan's strategic interests causes the reinforcement of the US-Japan security cooperation relations after the Cold War..Part Three: This part speaks about the impact brought by the reinforcement of the Post-Cold War on the international relations. US-Japan security cooperation relations are strengthened helps the arrogance of America's global hegemonism, causes more nation-states in the world to feel the crisis coming, the intense situation in the global international relations, and impedes the democratization of the international relations and the process of building the peaceful, stable, just, reasonable and new international order. And the reinforcement of the US-Japan security cooperation also brings unstable factors to the Asia-Pacific international relations and produces extremely negative influence on the Asia-Pacific peace and stability. Conclusion: It points out that the peace and development is the subject of the world. That the US-Japan security cooperation relations are strengthened is the countercurrent in the international relations. Every nation-state should be against the Cold War thought and old-fashioned U.S.-Japan security cooperation system. Every nation-state in the Asia-Pacific area should build the multi-lateral cooperation security system on the basis of fairness, cooperation, belief in each other and reciprocity.
