Dilemma And Countermeasures Of Yunnan Agricultural Development

This dissertation is to introduce agricultural development at national level and Yunnan provincial level. From the general understanding to the further analysis of the social and natural environment, the dissertation is to analysis the predicaments and contradictions of agriculture development in Yunnan province through the following ten aspects: economic policy of district agricultural produce and vend, region overall arrangement to comparative predominance of agriculture, agro-industrial adjustment and commercial products, agricultural technology advancement, agricultural population and labors, agricultural technicians, agrobiology environment, agricultural management system and agricultural input. These predicaments and contradictions are recognized the same in west provinces of China. The predicaments are tried out and then reasoned from a mass of real examples and thus to expatiate on the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats along the development of agriculture, especially facing the challenging of being admitted by WTO. Through the consideration of author's practical experiences, writer draws a conclusion that relaying on local advantages to create pleasant environment for technical development and systematical innovationof agriculture, grasping opportunities to change the ways of increasing yields of agriculture, and developing "four seasonal agriculture" are the countermeasures and suggestions to conquer the predicaments in Yunnan province.The points of view in the dissertation are the conclusion from writer's more than ten years practical experiences in agronomic management. Most of views are creative and novelty. Some of the standpoints have been exchanged and discussed with many other experts, writer's colleagues and senior officials, and have been fully affirmed and supported by them.
