Along with the process of the world economy intergraty and China's entering WTO, there is no more monopoly home market for Chinese petrochemical enterprises. They will have to swilch their business from China market only to the world market and take their production scale and market share into consideration in the world market because of severer competitions. Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited is one of the largest modern compositive enterprise that entered the international capital market very early in China. Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited will have to run its business in the international market as the preferential policy, which still exist somewhat right now, will be totally banned after China's entering WTO.In reviewing and analyzing the operation environment home and abroad the author brought forward strategy and of Shanghai Petrochemical's international operation and tactics to realize the strategy in comparing with the experience of modern foreign petrochemical enterprises. To strengthen Shanghai Petrochemical Company Limited's competition ability in world market, the followings must be insisted:1) Run the enterprise with open mind on the way in entering world market;2) Operate the enterprise with more suitable operation mechanism a HR management policy;3) Speed up the pace of technology rebuilding and innovation, strengthen the ability to meet market demand with the point of view of practice, development and innovation.
