| Agricultural integration, another deep reform after the contract responsibility system based on the household with remuneration linked to output in rural economy of our country, appeared in the early 1990s and was growing rapidly. As a new strategic direction in agriculture development it was listed in the ninth five-year plan in 1996 and its theoretical research has always been the hot subject in academic circles and government departments. While in the past, lots of achievements in scientific on agricultural integration centered on the fields of management mode, working mechanism and the regulation and controlling of policies, the research on areal model is still a exploratory subject.In the dissertation, the areal model of Yantai City's agricultural integration is studied, the methods of emphasizing case study, theoretical investigation and positive analysis and combined qualitative and qualitative analysis are adopted. Thus it explains the working mechanism of the areal model of agricultural integration, probes into the methods how to determine its types It also classifies the areal model of Yantai City's agricultural integration, and suggests some countermeasures about the optimization of models.The whole dissertation can be divided into five parts:Part one gives us the introduction. At first, the present condition of agricultural integration and its areal model is commented. Then the purpose of the dissertation writing is given, which include the motive of the selection of the subject, the main research content, the purpose, significance and research methods.Part two is about the rationale on which the areal model of agricultural integration is based. It also gives us a brief introduction about the industrial development, the theory of costs of transaction , the theory and its main ideas. The significance of theories and their practical application in the dissertation are also commented so as to form the theoretical framework of the dissertation.Part three tells about the analysis of factors of Yantai City's agriculturaldevelopment and the historical evolution of the development of industrialization. The factors of Yantai City's agricultural development is analysed and evaluated from location and market, agricultural resources and existing base. Then the development course of Yantai City's agricultural integration is chronologically divided into three stages: starting stage of diversified and the rapid development stage of industrialization and the rapid development stage of industrialization. The major characteristics of agricultural integration management on each stage are also expounded.Part five, the center part of the dissertation , is about the distribution and positive analysis of the areal model types of Yantai City's agricultural integration. Firstly, the mechanism and constitution of the areal model of agricultural integration are expounded and market tread, leading products, enterprises engaged in processing and selling agricultural products and its specialized wholesale markets and how the peasants are organized are all considered as its component parts. Secondly, the methods of how to determine the types of areal models of agricultural integration are discussed. The fact that agricultural production is limited by territorial difference is considered, so the property of the commodity base of agricultural products is thought of as the important basis to determine the model types. Through comprehensive analysis, the areal model of Yantai City's agricultural integration can be classified into five categories, which are reflected in diagrams. Thirdly, LongdaCompany in Yantai City and the fruit wholesale market in Shewopo in Qixia City are cited as the example that have led the development of local agricultural integration. Lastly, the convergence and expansion mechanism of Yantai City's agricultural integration is analysed and expounded.Part five suggests a blueprint of the optimization of the areal models of Yantai City's agricultural integration.
