Study On Construction Of Export-Oriented Pollution-free Agricultural Product Base In Guanzhong Areas With WTO Context

Guanzhong Areas is one of the prominent agricultural base and traditional agricultural exported base in China. It has significant meaning for the sustainable agricultural development in this area to increase the income of farmers, flourish rural economy. With the objectives of optimizing the construction of export-oriented agricultural product base in Guanzhong Areas, improving food safety, as well as enlarge the spectrum and quantity of exported agricultural products, the dissertation, formed by two strings: Post-WTO agricultural adjustment and the development of agricultural trade, has discussed the layout and construction issues of export-oriented agricultural product base in this area. Specifically speaking: Firstly, based on the agricultural endowments as well as the history and current situations of agricultural development and trade in Guanzhong, the dissertation, with the indices of Domestic Resource Cost (DRC) and Benefit to Cost, has quantitatively discussed the comparative advantage of staple agricultural products in Guanzhong; Also, Combined with the regulations of WTO, it has analyzed international trade geographic structure, product structure as well as developing trends of corresponding agricultural products so as to find some grounds in developing the export-oriented agricultural product base and Guanzhong's agriculture as a whole.Second, based on the distribution of agricultural resources, the dissertation has analyzed some theoretic issues of layout and construction of export-oriented agricultural product base in Guanzhong Areas; furthermore, it has tentatively blueprinted the layout and construction mode of export-oriented agricultural base, which can be served as the reference to exported agriculture in western and middle China and government's macro-management. Lastly, the dissertation has also formulated some constructive suggestions to the government, from the aspects of industrial structure, industrial organization, industrial layout, sci-tech support as well as agricultural investment, to promote the development of export-oriented agricultural base in Guanzhong Areas.
