KANBAN management system defined as the most effective and practical technical means in implementation of JIT is stated in this theses that also includes the definition and target of JIT(Just-in-Time production), the principle and comparison of KANBAN management system and MRP system(material Request Plan).The theses have discussed how to set up a complete KANBAN system in ELECTROLUX changsha factory. First, a KANBAN organization needs to be set up within the factory, which educates and trains the employees to understand the concepts, purposes and rules of KANBAN system. Second ,KANBAN use areas will be defined. How this single and dual KANBAN system work is described by taking these examples of final assembly process and packaging process. The detailed examples are also given to illustrate the flow of single KANBAN system between packaging line and warehouse and dual KANBAN system between final assembly line and feeder line. Finally, the KANBAN rules and comparison between single KANBAN and dual KANBAN are discussed from the practical point of view The calculation of number of KANBAN is presented quantitatively.This theses sets forth that the current situation and existing main problems in the course of practice of KANBAN system in ELECTROLUX changsha factory, which present in production layout, material supply, quality controlling, master production scheduling(MPS) and MRP arrangement as well as information flows between factory and distributor, factory and supplier, etc. and that actions and improvement measures for implementation of KANBAN management.Through the analysis to implementation environment in ELECTROLUX changsha factory, the KANBAN flow is considered to be used in interior factory, supplier and factory , and factory and customer. But start from the interior factory at the beginning.KANBAN worked as a technical means of improving productivity contributes to smooth development and competition of an enterprise, the influence of which will be discussed in these theses. The utilization of KANBAN system may radically remove the hidden troubles in the course of manufacturing, constantly reduce the scrap and improve and stabilize the product's quality, which will result in shortened lead time,flexibility of production as well as low inventory. It may also promote the manufacturing system to form a multi-skill operation team and have the product's design and development be guided by the customer's requirement, meanwhile promote the producer to build up a friendly relationship with its supplier so that the manufacturing enterprise becomes more competitive and stronger than its rival. Finally, the thesis presents some prerequisites for implementing KANBAN management and JIT research tendency.
