Under The New Situation, China's Auto Industry Policy Research

Chinese automobile industry are now confronted with a great demand, but original automobile industry policy haven't contributed to the development of the automobile industry, and on the contrary become the fetter of the further development, on the anther hand the external environment to work out the policy have already changed after China joined the WTO. To revise the policy properly or work out new industrial policy is imperative. This article analyzes how to work out new policy to develop China automobile industry under the background. As we all know, the industrial present situation is foundational. So in the first chapter I introduce the present situation of our automobile industry therefore, and point out several pivotal characteristics particularly. Then I list several potential superiority of our automobile industry, and point out that to develop our automobile industry shouldn't be bypassed.In the second chapter I pay more attention to the theory of industrial policy, and amplify on " theory of state" which was the focal features after the Asian finance crisis in 1997. I analyze the necessity of industrial policy of automobile on this foundation again, and point out that the industrial policy of automobile should be emendated.For seeking rational industrial policy of our automobile, We should follow by other countries especially new developed countries, therefore at second chapter I have compared the Republic of Korea, Brazil and Spain, then I point out the shortcomings of our industrial policy, in the hope that policy is emendated on the basis of the experience. The third chapter is the core of this paper. I attempt to give my own understanding about our industrial policy of automobile, to point out our major countermeasure adopted for promoting the industrial development of automobile at present.
